TRADE UPDATE - SUSO & SODEXO
"New national tie up with Sodexo for SUSO at the start of the new academic year!"
SUSO is one of the best selling soft drinks in secondary schools nationwide and is seeing 600% growth year-on-year, which is heavily supported with a range of brand marketing activities that are inspiring teens and resonating with their teachers and parents alike.
Sodexo provides food services tailored to the education sector with a focus on encouraging children and students to eat a nutritionally balanced meal. Charlotte Parriss, Marketing Offer Manager at Sodexo says of the relationship: “Sodexo has always put quality and excellence at the heart of our catering offer. SUSO is a brand that not only delivers teens with one of their ‘five-a-day’, but also meets all Government nutritional standards for drinks in schools and has a brand story that naturally compliments what Sodexo is trying to achieve. It’s going to be a very exciting partnership!”
Ed Hauck, Sales Director at SOSO explains: “The new relationship with Sodexo means that from the beginning of September, SUSO will be stocked in an additional 90 secondary schools throughout the country, which will generate increased sales momentum across the education sector as we kick-start the autumn term and new academic year.
“SUSO is unashamedly a fizzy drink, but one that is healthier for everyone because each 250ml can is portion controlled to deliver teens with the optimum serving size for their needs. It is made with mixed fruit juices, a touch of water and carbonation for refreshment and is entirely focused on the wants and needs of teenagers.
“In fact, SUSO is a best seller in all 1,500 schools where it is currently listed - with some sites selling up to 1,500 cans a week! The beauty of SUSO is that it actually engages with school children because of its brand credentials.”
This year, SUSO has built a close relationship with caterers, schools and pupils with a number of initiatives including the new SUSO Master character, the ‘Life’s a Pitch’ programme and the launch of two new variants: Sparkling Tropical and Sparkling Apple.
SUSO Master
The SUSO Master character is headlining a new brand marketing campaign for SUSO and stars in a series of short films appearing on social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube as well as www.suso.co.uk
Hauck says: “Having already clocked up over 80,000 views on YouTube, the SUSO Master is engaging teens and inspiring them to adopt a more positive attitude to life. The character is showcasing the SUSO ‘NO CAN’T DO’ attitude, which underpins the brand and which has already proved relevant and inspirational to UK teenagers.”
Life’s a Pitch
This Summer, SUSO linked up with the ‘Life’s A Pitch’ programme - a workshop designed to improve the business skills and creativity of schoolchildren.
Hauck says: “With more than 10,000 secondary schoolchildren participating, this activity proved to be hugely successful in engaging teens with the brand and giving them the chance to learn more about SUSO and the company’s history and profile as part of a real-life account of business. Next year we will be aligning with Life’s a Pitch once again and we plan to make things even bigger and better!”

NqnhH6 Strange but true. Your resource is expensive. At least it could be sold for good money on its auction!....

Careful with this story... the left is clnrertuy involved in a systematic attempt to destroy Michelle Rhee in any way possible, and the best way to do that is to destroy her accomplishments in DC. If it can be proved that DC did not improve under her, that proves that changing the educational system does not work. Just be careful you aren't helping this effort.
