TRADE UPDATE - SUSO FOR SCHOOLS
"... a new face telling the SUSO story!"
It's over to Estelle Matthews at ITN Productions to open the lid on what the SUSO cause is all about - namely encouraging young people to drink more healthily and apply a positive No Can't Do attitude in all they do.
This report was recently shown as part of the new "School Catering TV News Film" aired to delegates attending the School Food Summit in Hammersmith on 6th December 2010.
In addition to the broadcast at the Summit, the film was also broadcast to delegates attending the Public Sector Forum on 7th December the following day at the same venue. This event brought together caterers from across the six areas of the public sector (universities, schools, prisons, hospitals, care catering and military feeding) plus contract caterers to discuss the common issues they face and get ideas from other market sectors to apply to their own workplace.
The two events included presentations from prominent sector figures covering the Spending Review, other key legislative issues, an update on the Catering Contracts Framework, a session on sustainability in the public sector, a selection of case histories and a session on how to lobby Parliament.
This film will form a key part of proceedings at the LACA annual conference and exhibition at the Birmingham Metropole in July.

The Suso Mission statement "No can do" it's really encouraging, this hopefully will re-enforce a positive attitude and healthier life style for the new generation.
