“SUSO Supports Enterprise Challenge Days In UK Secondary Schools This Summer & Beyond!”

SUSO have linked up with the team running the ‘Life’s A Pitch’ programme – an innovative and high impact workshop that has already proved successful and popular with over 10,000 secondary school students nationwide. From this summer, the SUSO brand and business will feature as the real life account, that KS3-5 students will be pitching ideas to, under the guidance of business professionals looking to help broaden education and develop creativity beyond the classroom.

* Life’s a Pitch brings a genuine business experience into school. Julian Gee, developed the enterprise day in collaboration with Lucy Clarke, an ex-advertising executive and the published author of two books. It has cross-curricular links with Enterprise, Citizenship, English and Business Studies. The event can be successfully run for Y7-11 students. Within which the structure is modified for different age groups and ability levels.
* The format for an enterprise day starts with the course presenters providing an insight into the marketing industry and testing the students’ general knowledge in a game-show-style quiz. Students then set up their own marketing agencies ahead of being introduced to the brand. They receive a video brief from a real company director who outlines their core missions for the day comprising a requirement around advertising, digital marketing, and events and sponsorship. Ahead of feeding back their ideas students are trained on presentation skills, covering body language, voice work and confidence. They practice their pitches with expert help and a timed dress rehearsal. At the end of the day the marketing agencies compete head-to-head in the live pitch, in front of a panel of judges and their peers, to see which agency will take home the Grand Prize and who’ll be crowned the Best Individual Presenter!
* SUSO’s support of ‘Life’s A Pitch is in addition to the No Can’t Do Workshop running this summer, at Danum School Technology College in Doncaster, with Jamie Edwards – the renowned and dynamic presenter and trainer in the field of personal change..
