Hawaiian Shirt Creator Dies

Passing of a Pioneer.

Schumacher: 40 Today

Alles gute zum Geburtstag, Schumi!

Today we join hands in celebration. It’s the birthday of one Michael Schumacher. The seven-time world champ hits the big 4-0 today, so why not use it as an excuse to relive the great man's description of his flow-state:

"The nicest feeling is over long distances or in tests - at the beginning you fine-tune yourself every lap until you get it right. Then at some point a kind of flow sets in, a seamless rhythm. It's difficult to describe, but it’s wonderful. You're one with the car, you don't have to fight it anymore to keep it at the limit. When that moment occurs, I no longer see anything but the ideal line. A black ribbon stretching out in front of me. I look for the points I have to steer towards, the points that define the ideal line. I know where they are, I have them in my head. I can feel them. The knowledge that you are precisely at the limit is incredibly strong."

Check out this little insight from the perspective of his great friend and former colleague, Ross Brawn.
